KATHLEEN AGNES BROWN (ARNFINSON) (nee LAMB) Peacefully on December 24, 2007, in the loving arms of her husband John and her children by her side, at the E. M. Crowe Memorial Hospital in Eriksdale, MB, Kathleen Agnes Brown, aged 86 years. Kathleen was born in Eriksdale, MB on January 3, 1921 and was raised in the Clydebank area. Mom had many creative abilities. She loved to garden, crochet, knit, bake and paint and was very well known for her excellent butter tarts. With Mom's loving hands and heart, she created a comfortable home for her five children. In her later years, one of her favourite activities was bingo and it was there where she met the love of her life. She was employed at Knotty Pine, Sportsman Inn, Lundar Motor Hotel and was a selling agent for both Trichem and Avon where she met many people over the years. Mom loved horses and farming and always said the wilder the horse, the better to tame . Mom was predeceased by her parents, John and Catherine Lamb; brother Harold Lamb; sisters, Ina Malcolm and Margaret Malcolm; grandchildren Wendall Arnfinson, Adele Reykdal; great-grandchildren, Brandi Maytwayashing and Ella Reykdal; sons-in-law Lloyd Reykdal and Ron Diell; in-laws Henry and Pearl Brown. She is survived by her husband John Brown; children, Everette (Diane) Arnfinson, Shyrlene Diell, Ina (Larry) Yakielashek, Wendy (Dennis) Christensen, Cathy (Keith) McLelland; 13 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; brother Joe (Lorraine) Lamb; sisters-in-law Phyllis Lamb, Minnie (Garth) Woods, and Blanche Lowe along with numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 28, 2007, at the Eriksdale Recreational Centre with Melanie Kauppila officiating. Service will conclude at the Hall with interment to follow at a later date in the Scotch Bay Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wesley Arnfinson, Gregory Arnfinson, Ron Diell, Harold, Diell, Jason Diell, Derrick Reykdal, Adam Christensen, Todd Christensen and Travis Christensen. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the E. M. Crowe Memorial Hospital for the loving, wonderful and compassionate care they gave our Mom. Also thanks to all her Homecare providers and those in the health care services that cared for her over the years. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the E. M.
