REINHOLD (RENE) JARMUSKE 1934 - 2007 The Interlake lost a dear friend and integral part of the community on December 19, 2007. Rene leaves to mourn his passing; his wife of 52 years Betty; daughter Debra (Steve); sons Fred, Mario, Dano (Elsie), Rene and Vincent; grandchildren, Angela, Melanie, Patrick, Keri-Ann, Justine and Vanessa; brothers, Albert (Agnes) and Rudolf (Freda). Predeceased by his mother Emma and father Fredrich; brothers, Arnold and Ewald; sisters, Erna, Natalie, Olga and Lena and menagerie of pets, Princess, Tiger, Jinx and Pricilla. He worked at Acme Chrome in Winnipeg for almost 30 years as an upholsterer. Afterward, he and mom bought a cabin at Balaton Beach. Dad was a jack of all trades and over the years he turned the cabin into their permanent residence, where he started his own upholstering business. Mom and dad loved to work in the garden and would share it's produce with their family and friends. Other hobbies included cooking, bowling, golfing, hunting, curling, playing cards, shopping and tinkering with the latest kitchen gadgets. Dad was very involved in the Riverton community, He would be found calling bingo, working at the curling rink, driving ambulance as a volunteer and shuttling people to their appointments around Manitoba. Dad was a long time member of the Riverton Elks. The family expresses many heartfelt thanks to Dean and Paulette, Riverton paramedics, RCMP and Arborg Hospital. In accordance with Rene's wishes, cremation has taken place. A service will be held at a later date. Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
