ANNE MATIOWSKY On December 26, 2007, Anne Matiowsky (nee Michaleski) passed away at her residence, Kildonan Personal Care Centre, Winnipeg at the age of 88 years. Anne is survived by her son Russell (Hanna), granddaughters Amber (Myles), Leah, son-in-law David Lyons, brothers Tony and Ernie, sister Frances and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Nellie, her beloved husband Frank in July of 2007, her daughter Dr. Frances Matiowsky, brother Ross and sisters Emily and Mary. Anne was born on February 15, 1919 in Keld, MB to Joseph and Nellie Michaleski who were immigrants to Canada from Austria. She married Frank Matiowsky from Seech, MB in July of 1949 and together they raised their family and farmed in the Oakburn area. They moved to Winnipeg in 1985 and resided there until their passing in 2007. The family would like to thank the staff, nurses and doctors of Kildonan Personal Care Centre for their care over the past few years. The Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, December 29, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anne's Ukrainian Catholic Church, 455 Douglas Ave. Interment will follow in Green Acres Memorial Gardens.
