ULRICH FLASHBERGER Peacefully, on Monday, December 24, 2007 at the Concordia Hospital, our beloved father and grandfather Ulrich Flashberger passed away. He was predeceased by Anna, his wife of 56 years, in 1991. Ulrich was born in Egg, Hermagor, Austria on June 27, 1908. He immigrated to Canada in 1928, settling in Winnipeg. Ulrich was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Marlene (Vladimir), Joan (Lawrence), Margaret (John), grandchildren, Donald (Karen), Patricia, Christine (Mitch), Jim (Denise), Karen (Roger), Jeff (Lalonnie) and Craig (Lori), great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Derek, Mark, Christopher, Nicole, Daniel, Ryan, Brett, Madelyn, Rachel and Jordan. He is also survived by many relatives in Austria. Ulrich was a lifetime member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church and the Parochial Society and Golden Age Club. For the last seventeen years of his life he resided at Columbus House, where he made many friends and was affectionately known to all as Pops . The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Terry R. Babick for his many years of devoted care and friendship. A special thank you to the staff of Concordia Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church or a charity of your choice. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 29, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Mountain Avenue and Andrews Street, with Rev. Father K. Smith officiating. Viewing will take place prior to mass. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Dad, we love you deeply and will always miss you. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
