Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJACK HENRY TOPPING 1918 - 2007 Peacefully on December 25, 2007, Mr. Jack Topping passed away at the Eriksdale Personal Care Home in Eriksdale, Manitoba, at the age of 89 years. Jack was predeceased by his parents, wife Gladys and sisters Eva Topping and May Windross. Jack was born at Long Point, Manitoba, on June 11, 1918. He enjoyed farming and spending time with his sister May's children. In his earlier years Jack worked for some local farmers in the Lily Bay area, he also worked for many years for Nelson River Construction. Uncle Jack moved quite often and was quite an expert at building log cabins. During his traveling days he met and married Gladys Edinger from Chatfield, Manitoba. Together they moved to Benito, Manitoba, and had a sheep farm and a large garden, which Uncle Jack loved to work in. After Gladys passed away, he moved back to Eriksdale to be close to family. He leaves to mourn his passing, nieces Debbie (Ben), Edna (Gary); nephews Tom (Donna), Ken (Linda) and Ray (Kathy). A memorial service will be held in Eriksdale, Manitoba, on Saturday, December 29, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at the United Church with Melanie Kauppila officiating. A graveside service will be held at the Benito Cemetery in Benito, Manitoba, on Monday, December 31, 2007, at 1:30 p.m. with Reverend John Oussoren officiating. The family would like to thank the care home staff and doctors for the loving care Uncle Jack received.
