ELSIE FISCHER (nee BRIDGER) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elsie Fischer at Seven Oaks General Hospital on December 25, 2007, at the age of 69 years. Elsie will be sadly missed by her husband Lothar, her daughter Tammy, sisters Effie, Stella, Olga and Gloria, brother Cyril, stepdaughter Crystal, and three grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter Paula, her parents Sarah Jane Thomas and William Bridger, sisters Jennifer and Meta, and brothers Leslie, Leonard, Junior, Philip, Harvey and Billy. Elsie was born in St. Johns, Newfoundland, on June 29, 1938. Her family moved to Ontario and she later moved to Winnipeg. Elsie enjoyed their home and pets, Papagei, Daisy and Muffin. She loved to go on trips with Lothar and their constant traveling companion, Daisy, in their motor home and often enjoyed having friends join them. Elsie's quiet, accepting nature will be missed by all who knew her. A memorial service will be held at Atlantic Garden City United Church, 725 Atlantic Avenue, on Wednesday, January 2, 2008, at 1:00 p.m. with Mary Best, officiating minister.
