She was second born and eldest daughter, having one brother and eight sisters. There she received her education and worked along with her siblings, attending to the many tasks involved in farm life. She moved to Regina as a young woman to work and there she met her love, Ed Dupont. They married in 1936. They lived in Regina till 1957, moving to Calgary then to Winnipeg where they remained till Ed retired and they moved to Victoria. When Ed passed away Sylvia returned to Winnipeg where she enjoyed time with family and friends and her favourite games, scrabble, bowling, miniature golf, and she had a love of travel. Sylvia was a devoted, loving and caring wife and mother. She was a perfectionist with all she did. Her sewing, knitting and crocheting were works of art and always in demand. Her Sunday dinners were outstanding. She loved company and entertaining. She will be greatly missed by all. Sylvia spent the last two years residing at the Maples Personal Nursing home, 1 West Unit. We are grateful to all the staff for the kind and gentle care she received. Rest in peace, Mom
