MARY I. SMITH Peacefully on December 27, 2007 at the Selkirk General Hospital, Mary I. Smith passed away in her 69th year. Predeceased by her husband Gordon Smith (1992) and parents Vinton and Edna Buchanan. Survived by sons Larry and Micheal (Terri) Smith; grandchildren David (Jessica), Jeremy, Kyler, Amanda, Joseph and Dannielle; great-grandchildren Austin and Alexis; four sisters; two brothers and numerous nieces and nephews. Born in Plumas, MB on October 20, 1938, she married Gordon Smith on August 29, 1958. They moved from Winnipeg to Highland Glen in 1971. After the death of her husband she moved to Stonewall Crocus Manor in 1993. In 2007 she moved to the Betel Home in Selkirk, MB. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, January 3 at 10:30 a.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall, followed by a luncheon at the Stonewall Legion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association of Canada or to a charity of your choice. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
