Granddad Bert. We shared so many amazing times together and oddly enough 18 years later I was just searching for your name online with RCAF to see if I could dig some more into your past. I still cherish the photos that you gave to me in Ontario. Thank you for sharing your stories, your love, and your joy for life after surviving such wicked times. I'll never forget when you gave me a case of beer for my 19th birthday (OV) and said wistfully, "When I was your age I was bombing Germany...). I wonder if you'd be surprised during these current times with what we are looking at south of the 49th. I've never forgotten our chats and the very special times we shared together. You were top shelf Grandad! Glasses high! - Posted by: Jared MacKenzie (Grandson) on: Sep 01, 2025

We just found out about Mr. Paisley’s passing, by means of another Family friend’s passing. I always remember him as a happy full of life person. He had met and became a close friend of my Father and our Family through Air Canada in Toronto. I always remember with great fondness, of “Ol’ Buddy Bert” and my Dad sharing a beer or two (Old Vienna) at my parent’s house after a day’s work. He is missed and remembered by all. - Posted by: Scott Ferguson (Friend) on: Jan 12, 2008
