JOHN ROBERT (BOB) EARLEY Wednesday, December 26, 2007 Bob passed away at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg after a lengthy illness. He was born March 14, 1921 in Winnipeg to parents Thomas and Helen Earley. In 1940 he joined the Air Force and was stationed at Lethbridge, Alberta. In 1945 he came back to Manitoba and did odd jobs prior to joining Canada Post. In 1957 he moved to Onanole, MB and joined the Warden Service at Riding Mountain National Park. He was stationed at Rolling River, the East Gate, Gilbert Plains and the Townsight. He was also the Fire Chief there for a number of years retiring in 1981. He was very proud of his work as a Warden. He married Marjorie Burton in 1942 at Lethbridge, Alberta and after being alone for many years he married Dorothy Phillips (Bergeson) of Winnipeg in 1989 and together they had many wonderful years. They did quite a bit of traveling and he thoroughly enjoyed his summers sun bathing and girl watching at his home in Onanole, MB. He was predeceased by his first wife Marjorie (Marj) in 1974, son Tom in 1969, brother Tom in 1984, sister-in-law Helen Earley, and brother-in-law Aime Lamirande. He leaves to mourn his passing his beloved wife Dorothy, daughter Marleen Danyk (Sue) of Port Hardy, BC, grandchildren, Bonnie and Michael Danyk, step-children Richard (Sharon), grandchildren Mark, Craig, Nicole, and Sherrie Phillips, Miles and grandchildren Jacqueline and Tyler Phillips, Tracy and grandsons Wayne and Jason Cleary, sister Joyce Lamirande and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 31 at 1:00 p.m. at Gordon King Memorial United Church, 127 Cobourg Ave., viewing will take place one half hour prior to the service. Interment at Elmwood Cemetery will be followed by a reception back at the church. Memorial donations may be made to the Manitoba Lung Association.
