TRYGVE NILSEN On December 25, 2007 at 10:00 p.m., Trygve Nilsen passed away peacefully at the age of 88, at Health Sciences Centre. Trygve is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jenny; children, John (Bev), Rita (Roald), Marit (Wilhelm); grandchildren, Melody (John), Jennifer (Claudio), Svea, Andreas and Christina; great-grandchildren, Meagan, Braeden, Driano and Colby as well as two sisters, Brit and Else, and extended family members in the United States and Norway. He was born in 1919 on a farm in Norway. Trygve married Jenny in 1940 and they came to Canada in 1952 with their son John. A memorial service will take place on Sunday, December 30, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. The family would like to acknowledge all of the tenants of Sturgeon Park House who kept Trygve busy over all these years. He truly loved and enjoyed everything that he did from brushing off snowy cars to breaking up ice. The family would like to thank the doctors and medical staff, SICU Second Floor at Health Sciences Centre for going above and beyond. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
