While home on leave, she met Johnnie and they were married in 1944 and spent the next 52 years together. She was an active member of several groups; Mother's Auxiliary (Girl Guides), member of the British Wives Club and a founding member of the St. Norbert Eagles. Mum was a wonderful mother always there when we needed her. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren and was very proud of all of them. She enjoyed knitting and spent her evenings in front of the TV knitting socks, sweaters, dishcloths and towels for all of us. She loved to putter in her flower garden. Mum was a strong and independent woman who lived by the Golden Rule. Mum was kind and generous, always ready to help someone in need. Everyone who has been touched by her caring had a special relationship with her. We will miss you Mum. You will be forever in our hearts.
