ELSIE ELIZABETH MOTUZ (nee HARTWIG) and ANDREW NICHOLAS MOTUZ ELSIE ELIZABETH MOTUZ (nee HARTWIG) September 24, 1924 March 12, 2007 Mom was born in Olbernhau, Germany and was free spirited as she was growing up. She sang in the opera while there but had to cut it short due to the war. She came to Canada in 1958 and married Dad on July 20, 1963. Mom was a full time homemaker raising her two children and in the last few years took a part time job working for Manitoba Homecare. She was always loved by everyone who met her and she will always be remembered by many. We miss you Mom. Look for me in the moonshine. ANDREW NICHOLAS MOTUZ March 15, 1935 December 24, 2007 After a long battle with cancer, Dad is now together with Mom who predeceased him. Remaining to forever cherish Dad's memory are his son Timothy (Jackie) and daughter Uta (Dave) Ballast and four grandchildren, Terry, Ashley, Andy and Randy. Also left to mourn are brothers, Bill and George Motuz and sister Mary Kindred. He was predeceased by his parents, two sisters and two brothers. Dad was born in Mountain Road, Manitoba. He worked hard supporting his family, finishing the last 14 years of his work life at Parr Metal. Dad spent his retirement years working out , mall walking, and playing on a seniors baseball team of which they reached a championship. He succeeded in whatever he put his mind to and was only overcome by the one thing he could not fight. His achievements will be remembered by all of us. In compliance with Dad's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. A private ceremony will take place at a later date. Thanks to all at CancerCare Manitoba, and all the support staff at the Health Sciences Centre. We miss you Dad.
