HELEN (ILONA) JAKAB Helen (Ilona) Jakab passed away peacefully at the Lions Personal Care Centre on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at the age of 80 years. Helen is survived by son Joe, daughter-in-law Karla, grandsons, Adam (wife Holly), and Aaron; daughter Helen, grandchildren, Serena (husband Les), Terra and Justin; sisters, Manci and Magdi. She also leaves behind one great-grandson Liam. Helen was predeceased by her husband Steve (Istvan) in May, 1965. A loving grandma, who did anything for her family, she will be deeply missed. Very special thanks to the staff on the 3rd floor at the Lions Personal Care Centre who provided wonderful care. At the family's wishes, no funeral service would be held. Her ashes will be laid to rest at a later date. A celebration of her life will take place on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hungarian Canadian Cultural Society, 443 Selkirk Ave., Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lions Personal Care Centre, 320 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3B 2W6
