Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPATRICK DAVID REID As he was life, he was in death, surrounded by the love of his family. Patrick passed away peacefully at home Thursday December 27, 2007 after a brave and swift battle with cancer. His legacy is left to live on with his wife Edith of 40 years, son Arthur and wife Penny, daughter Sheila and husband Riley as well as his daughter Sara. Also left with happy memories are his four grandchildren, Derek, Jack, and the Holly and the Ivy . You may remember Pat from such adventures as: the night shift at Cousin's Deli and most recently from his stint as the landfill man at the RM of East St Paul. Our family would love to thank all of our amazing friends and caregivers that made dad's days so much brighter, you all know who you are, and we will never forget you. Funeral Service will take place Wednesday January 2, 2008 at 7:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with viewing one hour prior. Private interment to follow at a later date. Donations in our dad's honour can be made to the Christmas Cheer Board or Winnipeg Harvest, or bring a tin for the bin the night of the service. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044

Pat and I were first cousins, our mothers being sisters. I haven't seen Patrick since we were kids. He lived in Coppercliff and I lived in Parry Sound. I did try to track him down some years ago, during a visit to Winnipeg, but was not successful. I'm sorry I wasn't. I wish we had spent more time together, both as kids and later as adults. My heartfelt condolences go out to his wife and children, none of whom I have ever met. Perhaps that will change in the future. Rest in peace, cousin of mine.
