ELIZABETH (ELIZA) LOEB (nee PATZER) Peacefully on December 28, 2007 at Donwood Manor Eliza passed away at the age of 84. Eliza will be lovingly remembered by her children, Gordon, Mel (Jane), Dianne (Ken), Lawrence (Janet), Brian (Alice), her added children, Ray, Joy and Tony, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Eliza was predeceased by her husband Kurtis in 1986; brothers, Leonard, Herman and Harold Patzer; sisters, Lena Kurbis, Edith Trapp and Anne Bauschke. She is survived by her sister Helen (Ernest) Beck; brother Dan Patzer and sisters-in-law, Hulda, Liz and Elsie Patzer. Eliza was born on June 8, 1923 in Thalberg, MB to Theodore and Rosalie Patzer. She married Kurtis Loeb and together they operated the family farm in Lydiatt, MB. They were active members of Lydiatt Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School. They moved to Winnipeg in 1976 and joined the Grace Lutheran Church. Eliza was a kind and gentle person who enjoyed church, gardening, and family gatherings. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at Grace Lutheran Church, 211 Kimberly officiated by Pastor Gelhorn. Viewing will be held prior to the service. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Flowers are gratefully declined, if friends desire donations may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.
