DOROTHY MAPLE (nee ANGERS) Peacefully on Thursday December 27, 2007 Dorothy Maple beloved wife of the late Donald Maple passed away at the age of 84 years at the Grace Hospital. Left to cherish her memory her children, Jeff, Leslie, Stacy (John), Jody (Martin); seven grandchildren, Sean, her favourite granddaughter Laura, Michael, Matthew, Mason, Patrick, and William. Mom was born and raised in St. Boniface. She joined the R.C.A.F. during the Second World War and was posted in Ottawa. After the war she returned home to work with IBM. In 1952, mom married our dad Don Maple and raised four children. Mom loved to travel especially with her family and close friends Lil and Joe Janacek. She loved to play cards with her grandchildren and enjoyed teaching them strange and new games. We love you and will deeply miss you. The family would like to thank the staff of the 3rd floor at Grace Hospital for their care during her final days. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at St. Bernadette Roman Catholic Church, 820 Cottonwood Road at 1:00 p.m. with Father Fred Olds officiating. A gathering of family and friends will follow in the parish hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
