Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVICTORINA RACCA ALBERTO March 6, 1910 - December 28, 2007 Peacefully, on Friday, December 28, 2007, our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Victorina Racca Alberto was brought to the gates of heaven to begin her eternal life with God. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Marcelo Jr. (Exaltacion) Alberto, Evelyn (Rodolfo) Padua, Honesto (Carmen) Alberto, Consuelo (Amado) Mendoza, Felilia (Andres) Ticzon, Victorina (Conrado) Tualla; her step-children: Florencia (George), Socorro, Juan (Yolanda), Wilfredo, Jose (Rosita), Vicente (Josefina), Aurora (Arsenio), Rosario (Chito), Jacinto; and sisters: Felisa and Francisca. Victorina leaves a legacy of 40 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren. She followed a Christian way of life and is survived by nine Knights of Columbus. Born in Manaog, Pangasinan, Philippines, Victorina was a teacher for 35 years in Catanduanes and Manila. Her many accomplishments include being President of the Catholic Women's League, President of the Girl Scouts, Chairwoman of the Red Cross of Catanduanes and Mother of the Year in Manitoba in 1990. Victorina was the stepmother of the late Congressman, Jose Alberto, the late Governor, Juan Alberto and ex-Governor Vicente Alberto. She was a gracious hostess to four Presidents of the Philippines: Quirino, Magsaysay, Garcia and Marcos. Travelling the world was one of her many passions. A special thanks to all who cared for our Lola, Victorina. We love you Lola. You will always be in our hearts. Viewing (Lamay): Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St., on Thursday, January 3, 2008, and Friday, January 4, 2008, starting 6:00 p.m. Funeral mass: St. Peter's Church - 748 Keewatin St., on Saturday, January 5 at 9:30 a.m. Entombment: Assumption Cemetery - 3990 Portage Ave. Reception to follow at Cropo Funeral Chapel.
