Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTEFANIA PELECH It is with sadness that the family of Stefania Pelech announces her passing on Friday, December 28, 2007 at St. Boniface Hospital. She leaves to mourn her passing many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews; her dog, roommate , Candy. Stefania was born in Winnipeg on June 29, 1917, the third child of John and Anastasia Pelech. She was predeceased by her sisters Anna (Kimball), Marion (McIntyre), Julia (Shpytkovsky) and her brothers Joseph, Harry and Walter. Stella was born and raised on Ottawa Avenue in East Kildonan. She moved to Salt Lake City with her brother Joe and his family in 1962 where they joined their sister Anna. In Salt Lake, Stella established her career in the music industry working for Progressive Music. She made many long time friends in Salt Lake, keeping in touch with them until her passing. After 20 years in Salt Lake City, Stella retired and moved back to Winnipeg to be with her family. Her interests were many and varied- she loved to knit, crochet and listen to music. Her reading was a source of delight for her and she kept current with her friends and family from out of town via email. Stella always put family first, and she will be remembered for her extreme kindness and caring ways. Throughout her life, Aunty Pal was a strong believer in her Faith. Aunty Pal was Altogether lovely, Altogether worthy, Altogether wonderful to us... . A sincere thank you to Aunty Pal's neigbours Rick and Irene for their care and compassion over the years. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 4 at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, Munroe Ave. at Watt St. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
