Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMYRTLE WYSPIANSKI (nee BARAN) Peacefully on December 27, 2007, Myrtle, beloved wife of Albert, passed away at the Grace Hospital. Myrtle is survived by her husband Albert; sons Dennis, Terry and Rick, as well as daughters-in-law Beryl, Laurene and Karen and grandchildren Michael, Daniel, Britney, Zachary, Kerri and Lindsey. She was predeceased by son Benny in 1993; father Steve in 1969; mother Rose in 1997. Myrtle was born in Pelnia, Sanok (Poland), on June 15, 1924, and came to Virden, Manitoba, with her parents in 1930 during the depression. She attended Virden Elementary and Collegiate Institute and Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church. In 1944 she moved to Winnipeg and attended Dominion Business College. Myrtle worked for Eaton's, Holt Renfrew and Alfred Lambert Companies. In 1948 she married Albert Wyspianski and was blessed with four sons. In Winnipeg she was a member of St. Basil's Ukrainian Catholic Church. Myrtle belonged to the Ladies League where she helped serve teas, made perogies, she was also on the phone committee for many years. Her hobbies were reading, sewing, gardening, music (singing) and taking care of her family. Myrtle and Albert ran a rooming house business for several years. They travelled together throughout Manitoba with Slo Pitch teams for many years. Prayers will be said on Wednesday, January 2 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be held on Thursday, January 3 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Basil the Great Ukrainian Catholic Church, 202 Harcourt Ave., with Rev. Fr. E. Hafichuk officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Family Cemetery. The family wishes to thank all of the staff at the Grace Hospital for their love and support during this difficult time.
