ANNE PELUK On December 29, 2007, Anne Peluk passed away peacefully at East Gate Lodge. Born in 1917, Annie lived a robust 90 years and leaves to celebrate her life sons Gordon (Donna) and Ted (Gail), her grandchildren Chris, Tim, Doug (Joanna) and Lee-Anne (Kevin); also her great- grandchildren Thomas Jay and Avery. Mom met her lifetime love, Tom, in her early 20s and they married when she was 26, on October 14, 1944. Mom spent all her married life on the family farm in Ladywood, MB, but she was born and raised in Oakbank, MB. Mom was a generous, kind-hearted person who worked hard for her family. Little Grandma was all personality; her singing, whistling and Ukrainian jabs will be missed by all who knew her. She even sang through failing health and kept herself strong in spite of memory loss. Her presence will be deeply missed this fall at her granddaughter's wedding. Annie's last year were spent at East Gate Lodge where the staff became her second family. The Peluk family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all the patient, caring staff at East Gate Lodge. Their jobs are truly difficult and we are grateful for their dedication. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations to East Gate Lodge, Box 1690, Beausejour, MB, R0E 0C0, would be appreciated. Prayers will be said at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2008, at Sobering Funeral Chapel. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 3, also at the chapel, with Rev. Fr. Douglas Leclair officiating. Interment will follow at St. Demetrius Ukrainian Catholic Church Cemetery. SOBERING FUNERAL CHAPEL CREMATORIUM, Beausejour 268-3510 or MB Toll Free 1-877-776-2220
