FRANCES HARVEY (nee VALVICH) It is with great sadness and heavy heart that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Fran Harvey at the Health Sciences Centre on December 28, 2007. Fran leaves to mourn her passing, her loving husband Herb who was her confidante and very close friend of 55 years; brother Stan Volovich (Olive); sister Jean Sokol (Peter); and numerous nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her last sister and companion Clara in 2006. During her lifetime Fran and Herb enjoyed travelling throughout North America by train and car, often taking her sister when they drove. In the winters she liked to go 5-pin bowling and was very good at it. In the summer she liked to golf at many of the provincial courses. She also spent several seasons looking after preschool children at various churches and community clubs and was loved by all. Public visitation will be held on Thursday, January 3 from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. A private family interment will take place at a later date at St. Vital Cemetery, 236 River Road. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
