SARAH KATHLEEN BAER (nee LETANDRE) April 12, 1922 - December 29, 2007 Peacefully on December 29, 2007 at the Lakeshore General Hospital in Ashern, MB, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimers, Kathleen entered into eternal rest with Jesus. We are saddened, but also happy, that she is now with her loved ones whom she missed so dearly in life. Mom was predeceased by her father David; her mother Mary; daughter Cecile; sons Eugene and Neilson; her brother Harold; sister-in-law Doris; Louis; sister-in-law Mary and her grandson in infancy Baby Brian Sanderson. She is survived by her children David (Ruby); Lorraine, Doris (Gordon), Audrey, Yvonne (Wilfred) and Carol (Brian) along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces. Our Mother was a very loving and giving person. Whenever she could help out, she would. She was a very talented person especially with her hooked rugs, knitting and sewing. She loved music and played the organ for many years for the Anglican Church services. She was very dedicated to her Church and spent many hours with the W. A. and A.C.W. Holding Fund, raising monies from various activities. This is something she enjoyed doing very much. A prayer service and viewing was held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at the Arnason Funeral Home in Ashern. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2008 at St. Helen's Anglican Church in Fairford, MB with Father Ron McCullough officiating. Interment to follow in the St. Helen's Anglican Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be her grandsons; Neilson Baer, Wilfred Anderson Jr., Trevor Smith, Quinn McKay, Timothy Armstrong and Blair Thompson. Honorary pallbearers will be all her friends that she shared her life with. Crossbearer will be her grandson John Armstrong. With great thanks to God for the mercy he has shown to her.
