ANNA MAY REAGH January 7, 1948 December 31, 2007 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Anna May at the age of 59 years. Her battle was faced with much courage and determination. Left to cherish her memory are her parents, Lorna and Les Reagh of Binscarth, Manitoba; two brothers, Roy (Patti) Reagh, Ken (Gayle) Reagh; four sisters Lois (John) Fast, Wilma (Gerry) Katcher, Jackie Juckes, Leslie (Doug) McLeod. She will also be missed by 12 nieces, nephews, two great-nephews and one great-niece. Anna May was employed by the Canadian Wheat Board where she received her 30 year service award in 2000. She was an outstanding athlete who excelled in any sport she tackled. Throughout her school and University days she played on every team imaginable; volleyball, basketball, track and competed hard at each one. Anna May competed in seven National Women's Fastball Championships. She was a pitcher whose arm was feared by many. In 1985, Anna May coached a Manitoba Junior Women's Team at the Canadian Summer Games. She also curled competitively for many years. Anna May had a love for horses and was an avid rider, breaking many a horse to ride. She had a joy for life that was contagious to everyone around her. Her laughter filled the room. She always made time for her family and friends; you could always count on her. One of her favourite things to do was to follow her nieces and nephews sports and special events wherever they competed. She made a lot of miles to be supportive to them all. Her passing leaves a very large hole in our family circle. We will always love and miss you Anna May. It is with deep gratitude that we thank the staff at Bethania Personal Care Home for treating Anna May with great dignity to the last moment. The compassionate care will not be forgotten. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 4, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in Binscarth Knox United Church, Binscarth, Manitoba. A private interment will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donation in Anna May's memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E. J. COUTU CO.
