Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryRUTH HYRICH (nee CLARK) 1938 - 2007 Peacefully on the morning of December 25, 2007, surrounded by the love of her family, Ruth Elizabeth Lillian Hyrich passed away at the Heath Sciences Centre. She is remembered by her husband John; sons John James of Winnipeg and Jeffrey of Toronto; daughters-in-law Sylvia and Sharo; grandchildren Stefanie and Tristan; sisters Gloria and Holly; brothers John and Ronald; sisters-in-law Alecia, Marsha, Jean, Gertie, and Ann (Ray); brothers-in-law Amador, Dan (Rita), and Fred (Beth); many nieces and nephews, and their faithful friend Bob Tan. Mom was predeceased by her father John Nathan Clark in 1990 and by her mother Elsie Helena Clark (nee Shologin) in 2007. Mom was a caring human being who had many passions in life. She was a loving and devoted wife to her husband John for 45 years. After their marriage in 1962, Mom and Dad visited Europe for their honeymoon. Mom was passionate about travel and she visited many places in her lifetime with her favourite being Mexico, other destinations include the United States, Europe, South America, and the Caribbean. Mom also loved to be fashionable. She loved to shop for clothes, shoes, and handbags. The annual Christmas gathering at Mom and Dad's house was always eagerly awaited every year. Christmas will never be the same without Mom's fine home-cooked meals. Special thanks to the staff at the Heath Sciences Centre whose gentle care and kindness in her final days allowed her to leave this world with dignity and grace. Viewing will be held on Friday, January 4, 2008 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home followed by a reception.
