JACQUELINE (JACKIE) CARMEN LINDLEY (nee MARLEAU) June 25, 1939 - December 30, 2007 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister Jackie Lindley on Sunday, December 30, 2007 at the Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 68 after a lengthy illness. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Henry, children, Melissa (Trevor) and Kenneth, granddaughter Britney, sisters Marie Jean, Claudette (Guy), Hugette, Lise, Pauline (Jack) and Carole, brother John (Edna) sister-in-law Elizabeth and brother-in-law Denis. Jackie was predeceased by her parents, Thomas and Fernande Marleau, parents-in-law Thomas David and Phoebe Lindley, brothers-in-law Ross Lindley and John Kowalski. Jackie was born in Montreal, Quebec and had moved to California with her family only to then move back to Montreal. Her father in the early 60s was then transferred to Winnipeg where Jackie was soon to follow. Having been set up on a blind date Jackie met her future husband Henry. Jackie was a stay at home mom who was always there for her kids. She became involved with Stony Mountain Minor Hockey and then the Interlake Food Bank as the Secretary Treasurer where she and a group of dedicated friends put in many countless hours. Special thanks to all of the doctors and nurses at Seven Oaks Hospital for all of their great care each and everytime Mom was in the hospital. Viewing will be held on Friday, January 4, from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 5 at 11:00 a.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. A gathering of family and friends will follow at the Stonewall Legion. Jackie will then be cremated with interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Jackie Lindley to the Interlake Food Bank, Box 292, Stony Mountain, MB R0C 3A0.
