Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPHILIP ARMBRUSTER Peacefully on Tuesday, January 1, 2008, Phil passed away at Oakview Place. Phil, who was affectionately known as Army or PPA, will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Jeanne; his daughter Linda (Brad); sister Mary; brother Bert; and numerous nieces and nephews. Phil was predeceased by his beloved son Brent; his parents John and Margaret; brother George and sister Elizabeth. Phil was born on January 17, 1920, near Neudorf, SK. He moved to Melville, SK, where he met the love of his life, Jeanne. From Melville to Winnipeg, Phil worked for the CNR/VIA Rail for over 42 years. He was a proud member of UTU, Local 1874 since 1943. Phil loved his job and the many friends he made there. When Phil and his friends got together for coffee, the stories they told made everyone roar with laughter. Upon his retirement, Phil and Jeanne became snowbirds. They spent many enjoyable winters in Arizona where Phil became the resident pool shark. Phil was also an avid sports fan. He spent many happy hours yelling at the TV with his daughter! Phil was a kind and gentle person and he will be greatly missed. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Phil's memory to a charity of your choice.
