JAMES DAVID LEISLE, P.Eng. August 29, 1971 - December 30, 2007 James leaves to hold in their hearts forever and always, his wife Sheri-Lyn, daughters Calle and Catie, parents Dave and Beatrice, sisters Barb (Patti), Charlene (Ron), Kathy (Conrad), numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, relatives, friends and community. In 2001, James met the love of his life, his sweets Sheri-Lyn and daughters Calle and Catie. They settled in Oakbank in 2002, where they built a beautiful home for their family. James was always proud of his new family (his brunette, redhead and blonde). James's most memorable times were camping trips, teaching the girls new things, visiting with friends, times at the lake, working on the farm and the next project. Growing up, James especially loved working with his dad on jobs at the house and cottage. After graduating with honours from the University of Manitoba Faculty of Engineering (Civil), James worked for several employers including the City of Winnipeg, Dominion Bridge, Pawels of Canada, Government of Canada, Louisbourg Construction and finally AJP Engineering. James' love was always steel fabrication and design. His last job was his dream job and he couldn't have asked for better employers. James would like to thank Health Sciences Centre, staff of GH6, Drs. Kepron, Bshouty and Unruh, Pat Haines and Ann Szabo. As James' condition deteriorated, he received unprecedented help and support from family, friends and neighbours, but none matched the continued love and caring of his wife and daughters. A time of remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2008, at Faith Lutheran Church, 1311 Dakota Street, Winnipeg. Flowers are respectfully declined. If one so chooses, James requested a donation be made to the Calle and Catie McGuire Education Fund at the Oakbank Credit Union. Please give the gift of life, consider organ and tissue donation.
