BERYL SIMPSON 1926 - 2008 It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Beryl Simpson on January 1, 2008, at Seven Oaks General Hospital at the age of 81 years. Beryl is lovingly remembered by her children Jenny (Clive) Diller, Sandy (Jacqueline), Charlotte McLaughlin, Robert (Fran), Randy (Viennese) and Rodney (Gale), 16 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Beryl is also missed by her sister Marilyn Gault, brothers-in-law Tony Jensen and Bill Heatherington and all extended family members and friends. Mom was predeceased by our Dad Bill, her parents Jennie and Elmore Gault, Bill's parents Janet and Charles Simpson and numerous family members. Mom was devoted to veterans through her involvement with the Royal Canadian Legion where she became a lifetime member of Branch 81 and the Women's Tri-Service Veterans Association. Mom had three great passions throughout her lifetime; her children, curling and fishing. A day did not go by where her children and/or curling or fishing were not part of her life. Through this, she created many lifelong friendships, young and old. She touched many lives with her kindness and generosity and will be sadly missed by all. A special thanks to the Seven Oaks General Hospital, 4th floor, nursing station 12. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of Canada, P.O. Box 20009, 3310 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg MB R3K 2E5. Memorial service to be held on Saturday, January 5, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home with reception to follow. A private family interment will be held at a later date. Lest We Forget Arrangements entrusted to: Glen Eden Funeral Home 4477 Main Street, Winnipeg 338-7111
