ANNE BROWN (nee BLUNT) 1914-2008 Died peacefully January 1, 2008 in Nanaimo General Hospital. Lovingly remembered by her son Gordon, daughters Lois, Susan and Patricia, daughter-in-law Lorraine and grandchildren Christopher Browne (Laura Wylie) and Gordon Shaffer (Nicole Rosenberg) and great-grandchildren Lauren and Sammy Shaffer. Anne's independent spirit, good sense and humour endeared her to all who knew her. Music and singing were a life-long enjoyment and she was happiest in her later years when she could share it with her friends and family. A memorial service to be held in Winnipeg will be announced later in the spring for family and the dear friends she left there. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society of Canada.
