JAMES (JAMIE) STEVEN WELCHINSKI May 7, 1973 December 27, 2007 Dearly beloved son of Ann and Stanley Welchinski and a brother to Nicholas, Katherine and Leonard, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at the Gimli Community Health Centre. Jamie was born at Gimli on May 7, 1973 and was educated at the Gimli schools. Jamie and Nicholas operated the family owned Welchinski Service Garage in Fraserwood where he lived his whole life. Jamie was predeceased by his grandparents John and Katie Welchinski and Mary and Nicholas Rodych; uncle Peter and aunts Helen and Olga. Jamie made many friends and will be greatly missed by them. He will dearly be missed by his dogs Stormy and Holly. Jamie's latest plan in the works was a 1954 Dodge truck he wanted to restore as a way to show his love and respect for his family and for his father who started the family business in 1953. Cremation has taken place and a Service of Remembrance will be held on Sunday, January 13 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli with Deacon Gordon Mendres officiating.
