HELEN ADA BALL Peacefully on December 29, 2007, Helen passed away at Maples Personal Care Home at the age of 85. Helen is survived by daughters Shirley, Linda (Norman) and Barbara (Elwood); grandchildren Derek (Kat), Cory, Kevin, Ryan, David (Nichole), Darren, Chris (Jaqueline), Michael, Kendra (Brian); great-grandson Angus; special nephews Garett (Ronaye) and John (Jolanda); brother Ted (Eileen); step-grandsons Stephen and Richard; in-laws Jean, Sam, Pat (Bill)and Jack; and many other nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Charles; brother John; sister Betty; sons-in-law Jim and Al. Helen was born in Morden, MB on September 11, 1922 and was raised on the family farm in Roland, MB. She married Charles in 1946 and they worked their own farm until 1983, when Charles passed away. In 1986 Helen moved to Winnipeg. Family was very important to Helen and she loved to spend time with her grand-children. She enjoyed quilting and knitting. The family would like to thank the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital and at Maples Personal Care Home for their care and compassion. In accordance with Helen's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family graveside interment will be held at a later date at Roland Cemetery.
