Date of Passing: Jan 03, 2008
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALBERT E. (TED) BARRETT It is with love and great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving Dad, Husband, and Grampa, at the age of 83 years on January 3, 2008. Dad is survived by his wife of 57 years Mary, his son Don (Janina), daughters Kathleen (J.R.) and Lisa (Steve). Grampa will be greatly missed by his five grandchildren, Nikolas, Alexa, Scott, Braden and Michael, all of whom he was very proud. Ted was predeceased by his dad (Albert), mom (Evelyn), and sister Nancy Poapst. Dad was a proud member of the R.C.A.F Aircrew during the Second World War, he often reminded us that he was a Trained Air Gunner. Dad loved being at the farm Ranch planting his garden and feeding the birds. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the St. Boniface Hospital Emergency Ward and the staff of 5C and 6A. At Dad's request, no service will be held. Charitable donations may be made to the Western Canada Aviation Museum, 958 Ferry Rd., Hanger T-2 R3H 0Y8, St. Boniface Hospital Research Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or a charity of Choice. In lieu of flowers, spend some special time with your own family and remind yourself of how precious they truly are. Gone out to the Ranch.
