Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSE ANNETTE MCCARTHY Peacefully, at home, on Saturday, January 5, 2008, Rose Annette McCarthy (nee Tauffenbach) aged 98 years, widow of the late Arthur Stanley McCarthy, passed away. Rose was born on July 16, 1909 in Ste Anne, MB. The last member of her family, Rose was predeceased by her husband, Stanley, in 1988 and by an infant son, Richard, in 1943. She leaves to mourn, two daughters, Viola Stoetzel and Verna Anderson (Merv); eight grandchildren, Rick (Karen) Stoetzel, Dave (Ingrid) Stoetzel, Terri (Roger) Pelland, Rae (Soilé) Stoetzel, Randy (Leanne) Anderson, Sylvia (Rudy) Truesdale, Ryan (Chris) Anderson and Suzanne (Jeff) Halyk, and 15 great-grandchildren, nine great-great-grandchildren and a dear nephew, Cam (Terri) Tauffenbach. Our heartfelt thanks to all who gave loving care to Mom, Yvette Cyr and the staff at Home Care, especially Eveline, Soeur Rioux, Dr. Duval and Dr. Roy. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 11, 2008 at Day Spring Fellowship Church, 20 Finnigan Rd., Ste Anne, MB. I miss my 'cookie grandma'. I was not at her funeral and it's one of my biggest regrets. I truly enjoyed spending time with her because she had the most amazing memory and shared so much! She was responsible for my intrigue with family history and love of genealogy. She shared with me, the stories and tales of our families ancient ancestors and is directly responsible, along with my maternal grandfather, for my love of history and genealogy.
