MARIE MASCARIN (nee MOUSSEAU) July 8, 1909 January 3, 2008 Marie passed away peacefully at Taché Centre, with her family at her side. Born in Lorette, Manitoba, she spent most of her life in the St. Vital St. Boniface area. Her greatest pleasure in life was her family, and she never tired of treating them to spaghetti dinners on Sundays and special occasions. She also enjoyed playing bingo, where she made lasting friendships. The last surviving member of eight children born to Abondeus and Emilienne Mousseau, of which she was the second eldest, Marie was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Silvio. She will be sorely missed by her daughters: Pat (Ted Green) and Dianna (Ernie Todoruk); grandchildren: Karen (Dave) McFadyen, Chris and Brian (Jen) Green; Derrick (Maria) Todoruk, Andrea (Niklas) Lundquist and Mark Todoruk; long-awaited for great-grandchildren Sarah, Kailee and Jaret McFadyen, Michael and Kyle Todoruk and, Laban Lundquist. Also mourning her loss, sisters-in-law Jeanne Mousseau and Jackie Mousseau, along with numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Tache Centre, especially those on 3ABC who cared for Marie with kindness and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marie's memory to the Tache Centre, 185 Despins Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R2H 2B3 A private family service was held on Monday, January 7 at the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street, with Father Ron Leger officiating.
