JULIA TOMCHUK Peacefully on Friday, January 4, 2008 with her family at her side, Julia Tomchuk aged 95 years of Arborg passed away at the Arborg Personal Care Home. She is survived by three children, Walter (Marion) Tomchuk, Sophie (Ed) Tanguay, Barbara (Bob) Olender. Six grandchildren, Karen (Rick), Carmen (Gerald), Grant (Cori), Brenda, Derek and Sandra (Ray). Five great-grandchildren, Jessica, Chance, Janelle, Thorrin, Tayla; two special nieces Desa and Carol. Predeceased by her husband Thomas in 1972; son-in-law Baldur Finnbogason; grandson Barry Finnbogason and great-grandson Tyler Gillis. Julia was born November 14, 1912 in Jaroslaw area. She was well known for her delicious cooking and baking. Family and friends never went home hungry after visiting Mom, as she always made sure everyone was well fed before they left. WE LOVE YOU MOM, REST IN PEACE Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Ardal-Geysir Lutheran Church in Arborg. Pastor Bruce Zinken will officiate. Interment will take place in Jaroslaw Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at the Arborg Personal Care Home for their wonderful care and compassion. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Arborg Personal Care Home or the Ardal-Geysir Lutheran Church, Arborg, MB. Arborg (MacKenzie) Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
