FLORENCE EDNA PENDER (HAMMOND) January 2, 1936 January 3, 2008 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear mother and grandmother at the age of 72 on January 3, 2008 at the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit. She is survived by her children, Pat and grandsons, Michael and Tyler (Edmonton), Chris (Winnipeg), Lyn (Jonathon) and grandchildren Edward and Lea (Edmonton), foster daughter Alana Farrell and many family members and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Stan November 1992. The family would like to thank the Palliative Care Unit Staff at the St. Boniface Hospital for their compassionate care and to Vicky for the help when mom was at home and her neighbours Dick and Mary and their son John and neighbour Zacson. Celebration of Florence's life will be held at the Grain Exchange Curling Club, 75 Fort Street at 10:00 a.m., on Thursday January 10, 2008. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Manitoba Cancer Society. Wojcik's Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 897-4665.
