ELISABETH SCHERTOW 1924 - 2008 With family at her side, Elisabeth Schertow, passed away peacefully at Seven Oaks Hospital, on January 6, 2008. She was predeceased by her husband, Ivan, parents and three brothers. Elisabeth is survived by her brother Adolf and sister Betti who still reside in Germany; her children Renee (Jim), Victor (May), Rose (Bernhard), Eric (Susan), her grandchildren Calvin (Melody), Christina (Tom), David (friend Corrine), John and step-grandson Adam; her great-grandchildren Samarah, Danikah, Carlynna and Vienna, sister-in-law Katherine Forster as well as many nieces, nephews and friends here in Canada and Germany. We would like to thank the special nurses of Seven Oaks Hospital on the 5th floor, Unit 2, for their kindness, compassion and courtesy in caring for Mom. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at 8:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 10 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Mountain and Andrews Street. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg. Mom is now at peace and resting in the arms of God.
