DOROTHY RITCHIE (nee WATTS) It is with great sorrow that our family announces the passing of Dorothy Lillian Ritchie on January 7, 2008 at Riverview Health Centre. She was predeceased by her parents, Edgar and Irma Watts, her first husband Jack Ritchie, brothers Ralph and Frank Watts and nephew Ralph Watts. Dorothy is lovingly remembered by her husband Jeff Mathieson; her children Jan Caldwell (Tim Vukman) and Warren Ritchie (Jillian) of Toronto, Corrine Parker and Scott Ritchie (Sylvia) of Winnipeg; seven grandchildren David (Lisa) Caldwell, Devon Caldwell, Garrett (Elizabeth) Caldwell, Jason (Jill) Gayoway, Jill (Kirk) Seniuk, Kyla and Tyler Ritchie; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Dorothy was known for her love of life and was always surrounded by caring friends and family. She was an avid bridge player, golfer, traveller and was on countless committees because of her boundless energy. Our sincere thanks to the caring and compassionate staff at Riverview Health Centre. A celebration of Dorothy's life will be held at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street on Thursday, January 10, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba or to the Riverview Health Centre.
