Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHEODORE (TED) ALEXANDER GZEBB On Monday, January 7, 2008, Theodore Alexander Gzebb passed away peacefully at the Middlechurch Home in Winnipeg, at the age of 93 years. He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his wife Lillian, son Ted, daughters-in-law Barbara and Virginia, grandchildren Jennifer, Danielle, Kathryn and Victoria, great-grand-children and friends. He was predeceased by his brother Leonard and his son Gary. Born in Winnipeg, August 16, 1914, Ted married Lillian Bonder on August 31, 1935. He was active in the local sports community, coaching and managing the Elmwood Giants baseball team for many years and his family spent many enjoyable summer evenings attending the games. In 1955, he was employed by Hoffman La Roche as a pharmaceutical salesmen. After working diligently across Manitoba, he was promoted to Assistant Sales Manager and moved to Montreal in 1957. After suffering a heart attack, he took early retirement from his position as Director of Sales in 1970. After his early retirement, he and Lillian traveled and took up golf. They joined the Summerlea Golf in Country Club in Montreal, where they enjoyed the game and social activities. In 1978, missing family and friends in Winnipeg, they moved back there where they joined the Elmhurst Golf and Country Club to continue to enjoy their golfing. To escape Winnipeg's snow and cold, they wintered in Phoenix, Arizona for many years until the trip became too much. After that they stayed at home in their Winnipeg condominium, spending time with family and friends. The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff of the Middlechurch Home for their care and good humour over the past several years. Their attention made Ted's stay there an enjoyable and happy time. Cremation has taken place as per his wishes. A memorial service will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements entrusted to: Glen Eden Funeral Home 4477 Main Street 338-7111
