Shirley will be lovingly remembered by her children, Linda (Barry) Nielson, Diane Bellefeuille and Tom Bellefeuille; grandchildren Amy (Corey) Coates and Ryan Kelly and his mother Shannon; sister-in-law Lorraine (Arthur) Vaile; niece Vicki Magnifico, nephew Brad Vaile and their families; Phillippe Bellefeuille; and all of her extended family. Shirley was predeceased by her husband Joe in 1999, her parents Vincent and Dorothy Phipps, siblings Laurence Phipps and Vivian Phipps. Mom was an active long-time member of the United Church and took great interest in her neighbourhood. An accomplished artist and an avid gardener, Mom had a great love for all animals especially Sparky, Caillou and Blue. We, the family would like to extend our gratitude to the ICU staff at Victoria General Hospital, especially Janice, for their utmost care for our mother. Special thanks to Henri Kaegi, husband of Shirley Kaegi, Mom's life-long friend who predeceased her in 2003, Diana Bloodworth, Ev Cassidy and Stella Boiley for their kindness, care and compassion over the years, and to Brandon for loving and caring for her pets as much as she did. Our mother cherished the friendships she formed through the art group at church.
