OLGA SCHMIDT The family sadly announces the death of Olga Schmidt on Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at the St. Norbert Personal Care Home in Winnipeg. Olga is survived by her three children Marge (Peter) Peleck, John (Linda) Schmidt, Roseanne Skochyles; grandchildren Karen (Phil), Leanne, Steven (Leanne), Kerri (Brad), Jeff (Maxine), Ryan, Corey, Christie; two great-grandchildren Brandon, Zachary. She was predeceased by her husband John in February 1992 and infant son Gary in March 1949. Mom was born in Pleasant Home on September 26, 1913. After she married John Schmidt, they moved to Clarkleigh and farmed there for 49 years. They then retired and moved to Teulon. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Teulon. Interment will take place at Clarkleigh Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6 or to a charity of one's choice.
