Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET MYRTLE RIDINGS Margaret Ridings died peacefully on Thursday, January 10, 2008, in Kingston, Ontario. She was born July 16, 1915 in Winnipeg to Florence and Harold Cottingham, growing up there and on the farm near Petersfield, Manitoba to which the family moved when she was 10. Margaret taught school in Winnipeg and The Pas, where she met and married Philip Smith Ridings. They celebrated 40 years of marriage before his death in 1986. Margaret is survived and lovingly remembered by her brother and sister-in-law Robert and Olive Cottingham, of Teulon; sister Jean Cumming, of Winnipeg; sister-in-law Sheila Cottingham, of Selkirk; her daughter Rosalind and husband Ian Malcolm, of Kingston; step-son Glen Ridings, of The Pas; step-daughter Lesley and husband Randy Price, of Winnipeg; by her grandson David Malcolm; step-grandchildren, Lisa Jordan, Sydney Wiess, and Allyson Price, and their families; and nieces and nephews, Robert Cumming, Lenore Graham, Jeanne and Sandra Cumming, Willa Mann, Gail Bailie, Christie Gulay, Gregory Cottingham, and Glenda Goerzen . Margaret's family will celebrate her life with a springtime service at the cemetery in Dunara, Manitoba, where she will be buried in the family plot.
