RUSSELL CHARLES SMITH March 5, 1934 - January 11, 2008 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved brother, uncle, brother-in-law and friend, Russell Charles Smith, at the age of 73 years. Russell will be sadly missed by his sisters, Mary (Jim) Sanderson and Anna (Clifford) Manningway; brother-in-law Leonard Stevenson. He will also be missed by his nephews, nieces and numerous friends. Russell was predeceased by his mom Amelia; his dad Bob Smith; his brothers, Gordon and Barney; his sisters, Muriel, Lillian and Monica. Russell enjoyed playing his fiddle and guitar. He was a member of the Peguis Nite Ramblers Band where he played for dances. The family would like to thank the Peguis Senior Centre for caring for him, also Richard, Pam, Angie and Velma for caring for him while he was living at home. Also his special niece Melissa and her family and to the Chief and Council. Wake service will be held on Monday, January 14, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at 2:00 p.m with viewing from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Services will be held at the Peguis Wesleyan Methodist Church, with Pastor Ron Favell officiating.
