EDWIN ALFRED FREDBORG September 25, 1930 - January 13, 2008 Edwin Alfred Fredborg, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather, passed away after a long and courageous battle January 13, 2008, in Stony Plain at the age of 77 years. Ed was born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He began his career as an R.C.M.P. officer at the age of 19 years. His postings included Entwhistle, Peace River, Grande Prairie, McLennan, Red Deer and Stony Plain. Ed retired in Grande Prairie as Staff Sergeant after 27 years of service. Ed is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Norma; his children, Nora (Peter) Gerzanich, Carey Fredborg, Jodi (Brian) Doering, Nels (Monica) Fredborg, and Lars (Karen) Fredborg; his grandchildren, Jen, Christie, Amy, Kendt, Katie, Kelda, Joshua, Brianna, Devyn, Davis, Ashton, Anja and Annika; his great-grandchildren, Taylor, Tynan, Brady, Noah, Dylan, Keylee and Max and a brother Edward (Marie). He will always be remembered and missed by all. He was predeceased by his parents, Alfred and Harriet; his four brothers, Ken, Elmer, Tommy and Ron; two sisters, Elsie and Ellen as well as his granddaughter Amy Boyd. At Ed's request a funeral service will not be held. However a Day of Celebration will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Arthritis Society of Albert, 307, 10109 - 106 Street, Edmonton, AB T5J 3L7.
