Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryFRANCES MERYLE WOOD Frances Meryle, born in Vidora, SK, March 1, 1917, passed away peacefully at the Summerland Seniors Village on January 14, 2008 with family by her side. Frances Meryle was predeceased by her husband, James Melville, in 1983, and her son Raymond in April, 2007. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lynne (Earl) Overland of Penticton, BC, grandchildren: Shannon and Scott; great-grandchildren: Sydney, Jessica, Kate and Samantha, all of Penticton, BC; daughter-in-law, Jean Wood; grandchildren: Leanne and Marcie (Dave) Mark; great-grandchildren; Cole Wood and Adrian Mark, all of Vancouver, as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends, especially her brother-in-law John (Louise) Greenway of Portage la Prairie, MB and Leona Belanger of Summerland. Frances Meryle (nee McCreight) grew up in a family of six girls in small prairie towns around Lavenham, MB and met her husband (who made his career with the Bank of Montreal) in Neepawa. They lived and raised their family on Ingersoll St. in Winnipeg MB, moving to Vancouver in 1974 and back to Winnipeg in 1983. In 1995 Meryle moved to Penticton to be closer to her daughter and family. No service will be held by request. A family graveside service will be held at a later date in Rossendale, MB.
