CHRISTOPHER LYNN SALYN It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Christopher Salyn on January 16, 2008, at the age of 40 years, at the St. Boniface Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer. Chris leaves to mourn and cherish his memory his loving wife, Adrienne, his precious daughter Haley and stepsons, Andrew and Scott, his parents Ray and Elaine Salyn, sister Tammy Salyn and brother Brent Salyn. He will also be extremely missed by grampa John, grandma Korb, several aunts, uncles and cousins, as well as many friends, especially his best friend Mike. Chris was predeceased by his Gido and Baba, Steve and Nettie Salyn and grandfather, Alex Korb. Chris will be remembered as a caring and loving man, who brought joy and love to all who knew him. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Dr. St. Godard, Dr. Crawford, Dr. Karen and numerous nurses and staff on the Palliative Care team. Flowers gratefully declined. If friends so wish, donations may be made in Chris's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society. Friends may call to pay their respects on Tuesday evening, January 22 between 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel 1800 Day Street. Funeral service to follow on Wednesday, January 23 at 11:00 a.m., also at the chapel with Father Owen Steeves presiding. Interment at the Transcona Cemetery. You were always there when we needed you.
