Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALIX LETOURNEAU Suddenly at home on January 9, 2008 at age 40. Cherished daughter of Dr. Ernest and Louise Letourneau, loving wife to Jason Pyne, dear sister of Charles (Alexis Gerlach), cherished aunt of Tristan. She will be fondly remembered by many aunts, uncles and cousins. Alix was a kind and gentle soul who touched the lives of many. Funeral mass will be held in Ottawa at Ste-Geneviève Catholic Church, 825 Canterbury Avenue, Saturday, February 2, at 11:00 a.m. with a gathering of family and friends to follow. Interment will take place at a later date in St. Boniface, MB. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sisters of the Visitation, 114 Richmond Rd., Ottawa K1Z 6V9.

I'm so absolutely sadddned by the news of the passing of Alix. Alix and I went to primary school together. From kindergarten up until grade 8. She always had a very special part in heart. When we were really young I had a huge crush on her and send her a note through class to see if she wanted to be boyfriend and girlfriend. This was like grade 2 and she absolutely shot me down with no remorse at all.lol It was just puppy love but that stuff hurt I tell ya! I got over it very quickly and as the years went bye, we just became good friends. I'd do my home work there and she'd do it at my house and it was just good and nice and we were true friend. After primary school she went to another school that the restof my class wasn't going to. So that was the last time I saw her. Years ago I wanted to see what she was up to. She wasn't on Facebook. That was pretty much all we had back then.. So I google her name and my heart sank. I couldn't believe my really good friend from so may years ago was no longer with us.. Yes I cried. And then cited some some. She looked exactly like she did in primary school.
