Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSA ELIDA MONTERROZA MIRANDA Peacefully on Thursday, January 17 2008, family and friends sang by Elida's side until her final breath. She came to Canada from El Salvador with her brother and sister when she was still quite young. She leaves behind her loving husband Pedro Alberto and her two young angels Diego Enrico, and Paulo De Marco; also her beloved mother Antonia Santos, and her siblings, Armando, Maria, Julio, Francisco, Marco, Jose, and Aminta. In-laws, Pedro and Isabel, Amparo, Mario, Lori, Carlos. Nieces and nephews, Edis, Katelynne, Alexandra, Tatiana, Albita, Julito, Eliana, Marco and numerous others in the U.S. and El Salvador. Elida was outgoing, loving, strong and embraced everyone with open arms. She loved to travel, shop and was talented and creative in many ways. Her smile, her sense of humour, her positive attitude will not be forgotten. Elida put other's needs before her own. Elida loved reunions with family and friends to keep everyone together. As she was an Angel on earth, she is now in Heaven. The family expresses its heartfelt appreciation to close friends who supported the family, and to the many medical and other caregivers at the Health Sciences Centre. Dr. Andrew Maksymiuk's efforts on Elida's behalf were valiant. Home care staff were key to providing a stable base at home. Final services include visitation at Mosaic Funeral Chapel and Reception Centre, 1839 Inkster Blvd., on Sunday, January 20 from 8:00 p.m.. to 12:00 p.m. and Funeral Mass at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin St., on Monday, January 21 at 10:00 a.m. Flowers are respectfully declined.
