BEATRICE MAY GIBSON Peacefully on Friday, December 14, 2007 Beatrice May Gibson passed away at age 85 years at The New Vista Care Home, Burnaby, BC. Bea was born June 10, 1922 in Gladstone, Manitoba to Robert and Sarah Thomson. Besides being a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, Bea was a hard worker and was employed for many years at Shaughnessy Hospital where she made many lasting friendships before her retirement in 1987. Bea loved to travel and took some memorable trips in her life, but her favourite were those home to Manitoba to visit family and friends. Bea was predeceased by her husband Rob in 1988. She will be forever loved and missed by her children, Bev (Ron), Norman (Vanda), Andy (Maureen), Val (Howard), Diane (Tyler), as well as her wall of fame grandchildren, Rhonda (Robbin), Kim (Tony), Dawn (Dave), Bradley (Brandy), Grant, Jenny, Robbie (Christina), Murray (Patty), Katie, Matthew, Darlene (Andrew), Les and great-grandchildren, Robbie (Allyson), Amber, Sami, Oona, Crystal, Julie Ann, Brianna, Coby and great-great-grandchildren, Deklyn and Jonas. Also survived by her siblings in Manitoba sister Adeline Grantham (Garland - deceased) and brothers, Bill Thomson (Audrey), Bob Thomson (Reita) and her many nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service for Bea's life will be held on Friday, February 15, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, BC. Condolences can be made at www.mem.com.
